Habitat
Fossas live in the thick forests of Madagascar and are found nowhere else on earth. The Fossa relies on the thick spacious forest to find a good source of food and also establish its vast territory. With many human settlements coming to Madagascar, the Fossas habitat is being very badly affected because of deforestation and some farmers who hunt and kill them because they may eat their livestock. With this decline of habitat, the Fossa is now endangered with less than 2,500 left in the wild.
